Our browser extension is a version of our website that sits on top of your ATS – making communicating with your candidates even easier! Don't worry, you'll have access to all the same things in the extension as you do with the Desktop App 🎉
Getting Started
To get started, select the web browser you typically use. If you tend to use any combination of these browsers, be sure to download Grayscale in all of them so you never skip a beat!
Download the Grayscale Browser Extension here
Enable the extension in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (or both!)
Pin it to your toolbar
Start texting 🚀

How to Enable
Click the 3 vertical dots to open the Chrome menu
Go to Extensions
Click on Manage Extensions
On the extensions page, find "Grayscale"
Click the toggle to enable the extension if not already enabled
Pin the Extension
Now that the extension has been enabled, follow these next steps to pin it to the extensions tray:
Left-click the puzzle-piece icon in the extensions tray to open a list of your active extensions
Left-click the Pin icon to pin the extension so that it shows up in the extensions tray
Change the Side Panel Location
If you'd rather your Grayscale extension live on the left side of your window, instead of the right, you can update your settings by following these steps:
Click the 3 dots to open Chrome's menu
Click on Settings
Click on Appearance (on the left side)
Find the Side panel section, and make your selection!

How to Enable

Click on Extensions
Click Manage Extensions
On the extensions page, find "Grayscale"
Click the toggle to enable the extension if not already enabled
Pin the Extension
Now that the extension has been enabled, follow these next steps to display it in the extensions tray:
Left-click the puzzle-piece icon in the extensions tray to open a list of your active extensions
Left-click the Show in toolbar icon to display the extension in the extensions tray
Troubleshooting
If your Grayscale extension is giving you a hard time, you may need to uninstall (or remove) it and reinstall it.
Google Chrome
Click the three dots in the upper-right corner of your browser
Go to Extensions
Click on Manage Extensions
Locate the Grayscale extension and click the Remove button
Open a new browser tab, paste the following url into it, and press Enter on your keyboard
Click the Add to Chrome button
Note: We recommend copying and pasting the URL instead of clicking the link, just in case this browser is not set as your default browser.
Microsoft Edge
Click the three dots in the upper-right corner of your browser
Go to Extensions
Click on Manage Extensions
Locate the Grayscale extension and click the Remove link
Open a new browser tab, paste this URL: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/grayscale-conversational/fpnnaflhohmjmjdmicfnppcdkikgpabj and press Enter on your keyboard
Click the Get button
This will reinstall the extension, but you'll need to do one last thing to get the icon back in your extension tray at the top of the browser. Click the puzzle icon in the extension tray at the top of the browser, then click the eye icon next to Grayscale
Note: It's better to copy and paste the url instead of clicking the link, just in case this browser is not set as your default browser.
AllowListing
Depending on your organization's security protocols, you may need to reach out to your IT department to have the browser extension and/or the Grayscale domains AllowListed.
