Introducing New Grayscale Roles 🎉

Grayscale will now have 5 roles that it enforces in the application. Each role gets a specific selection of features correlating with it.

What Roles are Available?

  • Hiring Manager

  • Recruiter

  • Admin

  • Non-Texting Admin

  • Scheduling Only

Please contact Grayscale support if you'd like to assign the Hiring Manager, Non-Texting Admin, or Scheduling Only role to a user.

Hiring Manager

The Hiring Manager role will have access to the following features:

  • Inbox

  • Hiring Hub

  • Scheduling*

  • Settings

With this role type, Hiring Managers can start following conversations in any of these 4 ways:

  1. A user adds the hiring manager explicitly as a follower on a conversation

  2. A user creates a bulk messages and assigns the hiring manager as a follower

  3. A user creates an automation and assigns the hiring manager as a follower

  4. The hiring manager navigates within their ATS to a candidate (if they have access to that candidate then they can open the chrome extension and view the conversation, and add themselves as a follower to it)

For Admins: To give your Hiring Managers the ability to see all conversations, you can enable Conversation Transparency by heading to your Settings > Manage Team > Role Settings.

Recruiter

The Recruiter role will have access to the following features:

  • Inbox

  • Bulk Messaging

  • Automations

  • Surveys*

  • Talent Pool

For Admins: To give recruiters the ability to view all jobs regardless of whether or not they are part of the hiring team, you can enable ATS Hiring Team Permissions by going to Settings -> Manage Team -> Role Settings

Admin

Admins possess all the abilities of the Recruiter role, plus the following:

  • Create automations for All Jobs

  • Create shared custom snippets

  • Edit/Reassign templates
