Great question! 😉 Here's a quick run down of what 'following' is and how to best leverage it in your recruiting process.

What does it mean to 'follow' a conversation?

If you start following a conversation, you'll receive notifications when a candidate responds and the conversation will appear in your inbox.

How do I follow a conversation?

You'll automatically be added as a follower on a conversation if you send a candidate a message (this includes bulk messages).

Additionally, you can manually add yourself as a follower on any conversation by clicking the Follow button in the candidate conversation (image below).

Also, if you assign a conversation to yourself, you'll be following the conversation as well.

Can I add someone else as a follower?

You can add someone else as a follower by assigning a conversation to them.

This can be useful for handing off a conversation to hiring manager for example -- you assign them and they'll start receiving notifications, and you'll remain a follower by default so you can make sure the ball doesn't get dropped with communication.

Can I unfollow a conversation?

You bet! Just click Unfollow to stop receiving notifications and remove that conversation from your inbox.
