Snippets are the best way to transfer information directly from Grayscale or your ATS into your candidate conversations to avoid any errors.

Profile Snippets, Sender Snippets, Organization Snippets, and My Custom Snippets are all available in 1-1 messaging, bulk messaging, and within automations.

  • Profile Snippets grab the candidate's First and Last name directly from the candidate profile

  • Sender Snippets grab the sender's name directly from Grayscale

  • Organization Snippets are custom snippets created by Admins and shared to all of the organization's Grayscale users

  • My Custom Snippets are custom snippets only available to the user that created them

Note: In automations, the sender is considered to be the user that set up the automation, and Sender Snippets will reflect this.

To create Organization Snippets or My Custom Snippets, check out Creating Custom Snippets in Grayscale.

Apply snippets to your templates to seamlessly reuse your most frequent messages while also making them unique for each candidate. For more on templates check out this article.

Contextual Snippets

Job Name

Sending a Bulk Message to a group of people in a job? Setting up a stage change automation for a specific job? The Job Name snippet, grabs the Internal Job Name exactly as it appears in your ATS and can be used as a contextual snippet in both bulk messaging and within automations.

Currently only available for Lever, Greenhouse and SuccessFactors customers

Interview

Interview Contextual Snippets are available when setting up the Interview Reminder Automations only and can directly pull in interview date & time and interview team directly from your ATS.

Currently only available for Lever and Greenhouse Customers

Note: Since certain contextual snippets are only available in certain actions within Grayscale, be careful using templates that contain contextual information in 1-1 messaging or bulk messaging, otherwise the snippets won't populate!
