Note: All US phone numbers in Grayscale must be fully registered under your company's brand before you can begin texting. Messages sent using unregistered phone numbers will be blocked and marked as Undelivered with error code 30034 – US A2P 10DLC - Message from an Unregistered Number.
What is the A2P 10DLC?
A2P 10DLC refers to a system in the United States that allows businesses to send Application-to-Person (A2P) type messaging via standard 10-digit long code (10DLC) phone numbers.
Having your brand registered and approved with the 10DLC means better delivery quality and lower filtering risk for you and your team. This process is required for any brand that is messaging candidates in the US – no matter where you're texting from.
What do I need to do?
If you do not send any messages to users in the United States using long code numbers, you do not need to do anything.
If you do send messages to the United States using long code numbers you will need to submit your Brand Registration and your Campaign Registration.
